How to take admission in Rashtriya Military School

Rashtriya Military School has announced the procedure of CET (Common Entrance Test) for enrollment of students in class VI, IX, and XI for December this year. It is affiliated to CBSE board and has presence at Belgaum, Bangalore in Karnataka, Ajmer, Dholpur in Rajasthan, and Chail in Himachal Pradesh. These admissions are purely meant for boys and that too, as resident boarders. People who desire to admit their wards in these branches of Rashtriya Military School should follow terms mentioned below.

General Norms:

There are some restrictions and rules for Admission of students at Rashtriya Military School. Not only student should hold strong physique but also bear exceptional medical conditions. There are reservations of 50 seats for the wards of army personnel from all branches including Ex-servicemen and retired officers. Reservation to SC/ ST class is also provided as per schedule.

Age and Education Criteria:

For admission in Class VI, candidate must have cleared class V and should be aged 10-11 years. Admission to class IX is allowed only to candidates who are amid 13 - 14 years of age and have passed class VII while for XI, participants should be between 15 and 16 years of age. Remember, admission to class XI is completely based on results of class
X board examination. Relaxation of 6 months is allowed for ward of ex-personnel martyred in an action or war.

Exam Syllabus Details:

For class VI, CET will evaluate the competence of student in the subjects like GK, Intelligence, English, and Mathematics of class V (CBSE Board).

For Class IX, CET will be held for Mathematics, Social Science, English and Hindi subjects as per the same syllabus of class VIII of CBSE board.

Medical Criteria:

Selection of candidates will depend a lot on medical examination held after test at command or zonal military hospital. Only fit candidates will be allowed to seek admission in Rashtriya Military School.

How to Get Admission Form?

Prospectus and admission form is available at school itself. You can directly collect from respective branches of Rashtriya Military School by paying a nominal fee of Rs. 350/-. However, reserved category candidates need to pay only Rs. 175/- for forms.

Interested person from remote areas or other cities can send self addressed envelope (31 cm x 25 cm) affixed with Rs. 60 postal stamp along with DD of fee amount. DD should be in favor of “Principal, Rashtriya Military School”
